Remembering Becky Krevosky

Long-time member.
Becky Kresovsky, a non-smoker, died Oct. 21, 2021 after a two-year battle with advanced non-small-cell lung carcinoma.

John Kresovsky said his late wife was a dedicated plein air painter with FMBAA and wanted her unused supplies passed on. Her FMBAA apron still hangs in the gallery where he displays her oils and watercolors.

Recently Becky’s wishes were fulfilled when her husband donated dozens of blank canvases, watercolor frames and other art supplies.

Members remembered Becky as an accomplished and meticulous artist.

Becky was an interior designer and a life-long artist who also painted with a group in Maine and San-Cap Art League. Becky painted every day and kept sketchbooks of color swatches and preliminary drawings.

She explained her approach to painting this way: “Every time I paint I try to tell a story. Some stories require the richness and vibrance of oil. Others require the precision and challenge of watercolor.”

The sale raised several hundred dollars for FMBAA. Several times a year, members or their families donate art materials to the group.
