Dear Members,
As of April 1, 2021, I have accepted the position of President of the FMBAA, which is truly an honor and a privilege. I will do my best to meet the challenge, but I can only do it with your continued help and support. I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the great performance of our previous leader Tom Flaherty. He guided us through difficult challenges and brought many new processes and ideas to the table.
I am grateful for this organization and the work it does to bring the joy of art to our community. We have much to be thankful for as we had a very successful year despite the limitations brought on by the pandemic. I hope you will join me as we continue our mission to make the FMBAA better and stronger.
As you know, many of our members have been deeply challenged over the past year due to the Covid19 restrictions. We have missed our “normal” activities here at the gallery as well as those of you who were not able to physically be here to join us this past year. However, as we look to a brighter future, you will see that our on-line calendar is once again filled with workshops, classes and events for the upcoming season.
As we head into our summer season, I will continue to update you all via email blasts which are intended to keep you informed of upcoming news about the FMBAA, and you should also continue to use our website as a trusted source of information about our gallery and events.
I would like to thank all of our members who help make our organization successful. So many of you have donated your time and talents in the past, and many of you continue to do so and I personally thank each and every one of you.
In closing, let’s all remember to be kind to one another and give everyone we meet love and grace. We do not know the struggles others might be going through in their lives.
Sincerely,
Star Sherwood
