We may not have a building to call or own, or one that is usable in any case, but the art group has been busy!!
More Minis
is the Order of the Day

Making more minis is the order of the day since we lost more than 100 with the hurricane. These little gems are a great fundraiser and many new masterpieces are needed for the upcoming sales. Many have been created and donated by artists both here and in their home states. A huge thank you to Kathy Taylor who gave us almost 100 herself!!!
They will be available for sale at the Alliance for the Arts on December 3 along with some note cards and canvases and more.
Our plein air group is out in force at locations they can find with minimum damage. Each week they work in the fresh air capturing the beautiful Florida scenery. Recently they painted at the Wonder Gardens hoping for the flamingos at the pond. Alas it was only the Ibis who posed and preened but happily let us paint.

Star is a Star!!
on Beach Talk Radio!!!
Ed Ryan, the host, invited Star and Julie to talk about the art association on his Saturday morning pod cast at Wahoo Willy’s . He asked all about the association and how we are doing and most especially, how he can help us. Star and Julie did a great job presenting our situation and Ed is hoping to help us with his connections. Who knew he works for Eric Rhoads from Plein Air magazine and many more publications and the Live events we love. More to come!!
