Workshop Details
During our workshop we will probe several ways to enhance your paintings, with emphasis on color combinations, design/composition and the all-important Less is More concept. We will begin by exploring several study approaches for compositional ideas, with concentration on spontaneity and mark making to loosen up before we begin actual painting. These guided exercises will bring forward unlabored ideas along with analyzing color combinations.
An important foundation will include simplicity while editing excesses and learning to let go of perfection. You’ll be guided to use intuitive, gestural mark making, eradicate early points of interest while building up layers.
Emphasis on the artistic process is key with accent on personal interpretations. You will also receive detailed evaluation of your artwork throughout the workshop, informative handouts, and critiques. Come join this friendly, spirited workshop which will open creative doors for your artistic vision.
